The gays are alright™

We're finally back to recent art, as I've draw this one today ! It's going to be a little thank you postcard for my Patrons :3c It also has not been posted anywhere yet since I'm still on my SNS break, so if you lurk on this blog and see it before I'm back, I hope you enjoy it !

I often draw them when Ulrich (Mi-sun's boyfriend who finally got a name) visits Mi-sun in Korea, so I wanted to set the scene in Germany at his place for once. They're doing Christmas baking to bring to the family dinner :3c

Mi-sun's roommate has a dog named Zoe. She's a tiny poodle who side-eye people a lot, Mi-sun loves her to death.

And ending on Mi-sun at work, expectations vs reality. Streaming does not pay the bills for him so he works part-time as an software engineer. He does love coding and working with computers but having to tone himself down to fit in and working overtime when his colleagues fuck up makes it way less fun. Also yes, it is a G-fuel shaker next to his work laptop (his favorite flavor is strawberry shortcake of course)

Love, tears and pigs

It's been a really long time since the last 'main story' renaissance strip, so here's some deep dive into Massimo (Maffeo's older brother) and Donatello's (Massimo's best friend who was supposed to marry Maffeo) relationship

The angst with these two is like *chef's kiss*. I love chidlhood best friends, unrequited love, being blinded by rage and unable to see the other's feelings, the cruel irony of Massimo frantically searching for Maffeo to make this wedding happen when all Donatello wishes for is to be with him ? Good shit, good shit

And a little Cosima dressed in savafid period clothing. Since she travels a lot I would really love to draw her in clothing from all over the world but finding references can be a real challenge.

It made me want to draw Eugénie and Godefroy more so I did those two doodles of them too.

Another 'let's make an OC' thingy from twitter, this time a Vampire named Claude who is hemophobic (which is fucking funny if you ask me). I really want to draw them again sometime but I still haven't gotten around to doing it.

My entry to Godivaghoul's DTIYS, it was extremely fun to draw this little red demon

Another written roleplay forum character of mine, Celestyn, a 38 year old gay priest with MS who lives in Montmartre. He spent a lot of time in his life feeling guilty about hooking up with another man during his seminar until he couldn't hold it anymore and confessed it to the bishop, who told him to 'try to stop it and not let it be known', which was so underwhelming that it made him drop the shame altogether and hook up more, but in secret lol. Sadly he is the romantic type, so this life of secret grindr one-night stands in gay bars oustide of Montmartre is not super fulfilling for him. (the man in the white polo shirt is named Antoine and belongs to someone on the forum, they're very good 'friends' :3c)(actually so far they really are just that but we're thinking of maybe pairing them, which is exciting because there's nothing better than shipping your oc with someone else's oc)

Some doodles of my Dragon Age grey warden Gerahel. I recently restarted the whole serie so I could show it to my sibling. It's been fun revisiting the game since it's been so long since my first playthrough of it. He is a dalatian elf berserker :3cc

Style researches for a short comic I made for the 6th edition of 'La Bûche's fanzine, I wanted to use the opportunity of such a small project to make something traditional with a different feel from my usual comics. I should be able to share it with you soon ! It's a little story about two trans boys who meet up in their secret garden, with lots of medieval references to genderqueer historical figures (one of them is called Johann and the other Eugène, which absolutely is a reference to Joan of Arc and Eugénie/Eugène of Rome respectively)(a little easter egg for my fellow queer history fans)

And we finish this mixed bag with little IWLT doodles I made ! It was fun to revisit these characters, hoepfully I find the time and inspiration to do more in the future :)

I wanted to draw them as children/teens once I realized that if they are in their 30s/40s in 1983, their youth took place in the 50s/60s ! In order, Fujita, Daichi (from the bonus story), Chieko and Almas.

Clown supremacy

Below are three emoji chalenge (clown edition) I made with the peeps on instagram ! It was a very fun character design exercise and ended up spawning my first DTIYS.

Medieval ✨gal pals✨

 I've been really bad at keeping the blog updated but since I've been on a social media detox for the past month, I'm actually taking the time to tidy things up ! 

Last year I started written roleplay on forums again and I've been having a lot of fun. Last summer I signed up to a new one and created Eudes/Anès, a vagrant monk in 1590 France. 

a little cw for mention on sexual assault and depiction of self-harm, 

you might want to skip this post if those are sensitive topics for you !

To make it short, Eudes/Anès had a very deep 'friendship' with a girl named Deirdre, but she got accused of being a witch by the local people who took it upon themselves to have her burned at the stake. Since he was so close to her, people turned accusation toward him too and in the panic he fled, leaving her to fate. Unsurprisingly, this event brought a lot of guilt and the trauma from it snapped something in him that made him start to hear 'god's' voice and see his 'signs' (there are supernatural things in the lore of the forum, but this is just plain disillusion/ptsd), so he went and entered a monastery. Sadly for him, he was blackmailed and abused there and was only saved from killing his persecutor when a vagrant monk stopped in the monastery and got him interested in his way of life, taking him under his wing and travelling with him to teach him his ways. 

Now he's on his own again because they couldn't travel together eternally and he tries to repent from his terrible sins through helping others and lots of flogging ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ

As far as gender goes, it's a big shrug emoji for him: he uses masculine pronouns in french and dresses as a man, pretty much living as one, partly because he was often taken for one during his youth and so it feels 'right', partly because it grants him security, being well aware of the danger of being seen as a woman (as evidence by his experience at the monastery). He has a weird relationship with gender -mostly no strong feelings towards any end of the spectrum-. To me he's like, a he/they genderqueer lesbian, but honestly he wouldn't put labels on himself.

As a point of reference, when I refer to him as his monk name 'Eudes', it's post-monastery, when I refer to his birthname 'Anès', it's backstory stuff. Ok ? Ok !

Anès and Deirdre lived in an abandoned house in the forest and they were pretty much having a jolly ol time living outside of society before the whole witch accusation thing. Deirdre pretty much dragged Eudes out of being a beggar. They have a weird relationship that borders on toxic, be it because Deirdre is always bullying Anès or because Anès is extremely dependent on Deirdre (they both love the other but they've been too fucked by life to show it in healthy ways) 

They were also 100% fucking gay, even if they didn't put words on it.

I'm leaving you on a little drawing of Eudes being his weird self and a little ref sheet I quickly drew because I really wanted to get a commission of these two lol hope you enjoy these two despite the dark themes in their story. I made Eudes at a very low point in my mental health this year to cope, so they got reaaaally fucked (I'm sorry my child)
