Who needs more OCs when you can just make AUs

I just really needed to draw genderbent Marsilio… For science… And it was very good science (I need to include them in a NSFW sketchbook page one day…)

I like to think Marsilio would be called Marcella and Emilio Emiliana. 

Marcella and Emiliana. That just sounds cute ok.

And some modern AU fun. Emilio tries to warm Marsilio to the idea of PDA, slowly… 

And to conclude, I was craving some Mafia AU shenanigans, and boy did my hands cooperate for once.

Even when Marsilio agrees to have casual sex with Emilio, he still is super suspicious of him, so there's always some tension between them despite Emilio genuinely having no bad intentions.

 

Monster lover: the AU

The mythos AU juste continue to scratch the monster fucker itch in my brain. I get you Luca, I get you.

In this AU, since Emilio was not born a monster, the rest of his family is human, but it also means he can't see his sister anymore :( he just watches from afar.

Meanwhile, she's searching for him, but it's hard for her to get far  with her condition. She still does stumble upon Marino while trying at some point.

+ a little bonus doodle of Gladiator AU Emilio for the artstylebend challenge, which ended up being just the style I had as a teen

 

Kiss the cow

I started thinking about how weird it would be to kiss Mythos!Marsilio, so I had to draw it, and it made me want to draw more of the monster gays because it encapsulate all I love in life

But also I had to draw some drama. Because it's the third thing I love the most in life.

 Also a cursed reverse mythos AU where Emilio is a minotaur and Marsilio is a gorgon, The cursed part is that I was not going to give Marsilio a snake beard, as badass as it sounds, but clean shaved Marsilio looks weird.

And some merms because I always like drawing them as mermaids. My gay water mammals fools

After way too long, here's Emilio in the Mafia AU. He's part of the same 'family' as Marsilio, but Marsilio is super suspicious of him trying to take over Vieri because of his father being known for wanting the Don title, so he never trusts him.

 Emilio on the other hand does not give a flying fuck about the whole mafia business and genuinely is in love with Marsilio, and every single one of his flirting attempt is read as some attempt to befriend him in order to manipulate him and falls flat.

 Of course this drives Emilio mad and at some point he totally is going to just explode at Marsilio, because a man can only try to stay subtle for a while before getting fed up with small touches and smiles, and Marsilio is absolutely going to be confused as hell.

 To be fair, if that kind of reception doesn't read to Marsilio as 'this guy is trying to get into my pants', I can understand how at some point Emilio would get annoyed.

And because we haven't seen her in a while, I wanted to also draw Cristina in the Mafia AU, despite her having yet to be properly introduced in canon.

 A little angel, totally not a scheming little lady ready for everything to get what she wants. Contrary to Emilio, Cristina is really into the family business, and securing her position as high in the hierarchy of the family as she can. 

 Of course like in the canon Cristina and Emilio are very close, despite having very different motivations in life. 

And while we're in Emilio/Marsilio centric AUs, here a doodle from back in may that I never managed to fit into a post. It's just a single Merm AU doodle but I still love it, so here it is.

Emilio is a manatee and Marsilio is a whale, which are actually both mammals and not fishes like traditional mermaids but sshhhhh shhhh

 Of course even in the Mythos AU Vieri is not too happy to be sharing his home with Luca. And yes this is totally a 'Vieri let him sit on the chair he's injured' and Vieri being a petty bitch because it's HIS chair and he now has a mighty need to be sitting.

And some drama because you know I can never get enough. Ofc if you didn't understand it by Luca's reaction to Marsilio in the little two page comic of the mythos AU, humans are pretty scared of monster and you know what happens when humans are scared.

 Speaking of scared humans, there's basically two choices for monsters: staying pacific and far from humans, or terrorizing them so they leave you alone. When Emilio got turned into a gorgon he ran with option two, hence why HE doesn't come back looking like a porcupine when venturing outside (stone-turning gaze helps with this too tbh).

Well he was also feeling vengeful as fuck, but that's a detail.

And some baby cow Marsilio hanging out with Leo, who's most likely gushing about his mermaid gf.

 I've been wanting to draw Emilio as a teenager/kid for a long long time so to start off my brand new sketchbook I decided to finally do it !

Little content warning for implied sexual abuse (I think it's the best I can describe it ?), there's nothing graphic or explicit but oh well, better safe than sorry (by now y'all are probably aware that this is not a 'wholesome only' place)

Also, did I ever say that Emilio bleaches his hair (Renaissance stlye ofc). He was born this perfect nearly white haired angel, but he actually grew up to be more of a dirty blond.

 Apparently during the Renaissance in Firenze, it was not unusual for some people to give their sons to political figure for 'dates' and sexual favors in exchange for money/political favors/etc… Of course it wasn't something you'd talk about because it's pretty much corruption with another layer of yikes, but it wasn't a 'one dude did this once' thing. (tho as with any of my historical fun fact, remember I'm not an historian so take everything with a grain of salt, I'm just taking what I find interesting)(if I ever stumble upon the book that talked about this again, I'll let you know, this was pretty interesting)

So yeah ! Turns out when you make your son date guys for a while, he MIGHT not be too happy to marry a woman when he's of age. Emilio's father should have seen it coming.

And a little reference to Alexandre Cabanel's l'Ange Déchu because I just love the intense look in this painting, and it just fit so well with everything Emilio felt at this time.

and some sweeter thing to wrap everything's up. He ends up fine, all things considered.

PRIDE 2019

I actually did something pride themed this year so enjoy those doodles with not always so subtly hidden flag colors. Anyway be gay do crime and don't by from big corporation this month.

I wanted to do some more AUs so I asked instagram and they delivered (I might do some more because there were A LOT)

Cute that in his fantasies Joaquin is taller than Amabel (Joa totally gets dragged on a crazy dangerous adventure in this AU)(also you bet your ass the baby is also there, he's just waiting in the car)

The closest to a modern AU we're getting I think. I gotta say I had this image in my head for a LONG time, and you can bet your ass they meet again at one of Marsilio's gallery opening for extra awkward points.

 Emilio totally is the femme fatale he doesn't care about your gender roles.

That's just free suffering for you bUT it was actually asked so. I'm not to blame.

 The little spots on Maffeo's pants are actually glittery, because you can't do late seventies/early eighties without sequins and glitters

Someone suggested a model AU where Amabel specifically is a leg model and I approve (Joaquin does too)

I realized I never posted the sticker designs I made for both of my original characters sticker sets, which is a shame because I made a few bonus pics of the Mythos one

Next set featuring the Renaissance folks should be themed around greek gods ! But I might do something not Ren folks themed in between, just to break it up a bit.

monkey business

I was lacking Cosima content compared to the amount of doodles of the boys and that was unacceptable

Cosima never misses the boys on her travels because the monkeys act the same.

I often talk about Cosima being pressured into marriage and this strip was in my head since pretty much her introduction. Tfw you're scared your only daughter might be in love with good-for-nothing jobless boys

And some baby Cosima content. Her and Vieri have actually known each other for a while now, tho their relationship slightly changes (and by that I mean that Vieri went through puberty and stopped thinking girls were icky. Cosima still will chokehold him)

and some AU's on a non-Cosima specific note

Kingsman AU, because the idea seemed fun and I wanted to draw Italian dogs. Cosima's dog is a Bergamoso Shepherd, Vieri's a Bracco Italiano, Maffeo's a Cane Croso and Luca's an Italian Greyhound, and they're all good boy. 

I like to imagine that Cosima is the one who wins.

And because I re-read Sugar Sugar Rune (if you only ever watched the anime and liked it please pLEASE read the manga ! The manga is like a more condensed, less-filler episode filled, more serious but still charming version of it) I wanted to draw my characters in the universe, which means they needed more Universe appropriate names.

So in this AU Vieri is called Gingembre (Ginger)(pun intended), Maffeo Éclair (which is both the name of a french pastry and the name for lightning), Emilio Meringue (because he's sweet) & Marsilio Réglisse (licorice)(pretty self-explanatory 

And Lucia (named Dulce in the AU) & Maffeo's mom (named Macaron), who were the two queen candidates (Dulce won)

valentines, but make it gay

As much as I loathe Valentine's day as a commercial holiday, you know what I like ?

Drawing my characters being mushy in the name of celebrating love. 

So I asked peeps over on instagram to suggest cute couple things for my OC to do, and boy do the people delivered.

Suggestion #1: Miguel and Lars at pride. How fucking CUTE it that idea. 10/10

Suggestion #2: the western trio doing some target practice. More like pretending to refine revolver skills as an excuse to get waaaay too close (Georgie is the only one being serious about it)

Suggestion #3: Pia & Lucia bathing. Which, once more, hello ? Yes I stan. 

Suggestion #4: Gladiator AU Emilio teaching Marsilio how to sword fight (and a little more). There's just no way to draw people wrestling without it looking horny.

Suggestion #5: Luca giving Cosima flowers, feat. Vieri ready to kill a man.

Suggestion #6: Miguel & Lars having a pizza date. Yes you'll see that I was in a big Miguel/Lars mood while doing these

Suggestion #7 & #8: Gracília doing Carina's makeup and Vieri's dad teaching Marsilio how to kiss, because you take what you can when you have a crush.

Suggestion #9: Miguel and Lars sleeping together (+morning smooches).

Suggestion #10: Gracília & Carina making a love spell/potion. Gracília is mostly assisting here but someone's gotta hold the pot.

Suggestion #11: Lars & Samira's first valentine's day. You bet your ass Sami is the one doing the gifting here, she's just giving him a smooch first.

Suggestion #12: Maffeo, Vieri & Cosima going for a night swim. Cheating a bit here because Cosima is not in couple with those two but hey, Valentines is also about loving your friends.

Suggestion #13: Miguel wearing Lars' clothes. He's probably calling him out on how he only owns plain t-shirt but Lars is not listening.

Suggestion #14: Marsilio & Emilio sleeping together (or trying to)

Suggestion #15: the western trio exchanging some smooches.
