Remember the AU where the original prince survived ? I wanted to expand on it, and I might have gone a little ham with it.

 So yeah, wanted to expand a little on this AU, ended up with a whole new squad of boys, because clearly I don't have enough OCs as is.

OC Q&A 5: frilly assholes edition (and some more)

It took a while, but here's the post for the 5th instagram OC Q&A, which focuses on the 18th century trio Eugénie, Aimé and Benigno (make it four with Godefroy)

I would have loved to answer more questions in drawings but !! So many where too interesting to merely do a quick doodle for !

1: It's exactly what I keep trying to tell him but he refuses to listen ! / It's true ! You're here to rest, Aimé !

2: Oh I am married… And I do love someone. / Someone complicated.

I simply do not have time for this and- and I'm still young, why rush ? Plus you can't ask those kind of things, this is private- / It's by fear, of course. / NO ONE ASKED YOU !

 I need to draw them in the modern AU more because they're CUTIES

1: Probably this courtesy visit that ended in an… Unexpected way. I was still young, so at the time it seemed 'wild' to me. Ha ! The innocence…

2: In general, I try to work during the day, but inspiration does not have a schedule… I often find the 'solution' at the doors of slumber.

 A morning Eugénie living the life, I tried to keep the food mostly historically accurate, but you know, I'm not food historian. Still, apparently french toast are a pretty old thing !

Had the itch to draw baby Benigno, so you're getting a glimpse of his backstory.

- How bad is it ? / - We don't know if he'll survive the night. / - P… Pa… Pa… ? Papa…  / - Then he's useless.

 Eugénie pretends she doesn't see Benigno have nightmares because she knows he'll close up like a clam if she brings it up.

Turns out that the sadder I feel, the gayer and softer my artwork turns out, which DOES improve my mood so… Win win ?

I don't even want to turn those kinktober boys into real OCs but I enjoy making little couples within them because they all look cute ok.

Meet Eugénie (a kind of dumb, but mostly sweet soprano), Benigno (a kind of an asshole, chaotic castrato), Aimé (a prudish, virgin compositor caught in between all that) and Godefroy (an excellent pet that will grow into a big boy). It's 18th century, in France, and they're all staying at Eugénie's parents country residence; shenanigans ensues.

 Pretty much everyone is a friend of Eugénie. Aimé met her while composing for the Paris opera and Benigno was brought in France by her parent after them hearing one of his performance on a trip. Eugénie just is that kind of social butterfly, and she wants all her friends to befriend each other, so they can all be besties.

Also, they obviously fuck, it's the 18th century, they're upper-class, of course they fuck. We'll go deeper into their relationships in the future.

I will not be able to rest until you get rid of those rags ! My daddy pays for it anyway / It's not good, Aimé ! / But- / No 'but's !

Eugénie also wants her friend to look good. She's a sweetheart, in a pushy kind of way.

Got the hitch to draw ASHORE characters the other day, so have some Surya with his dumb dumb boyfriend being happy.

 And a little doodle of an AU of what could have been, just because I wanted to draw grandpas in love (also we all know I've got a thing for drawing my characters old and sappy, what can I say, we need more queer grandpas and grandmas)

 It had been a long time since I had drawn the Prince, which is a shame because he's always really aesthetically pleasing in the weirdest way.

 People requested I 1) draw the Prince happy 2) for someone to braid is hair. Of course this someone must be his mom because he's a mommy's boy.

Now onto spicier stuff, I've been toying with the idea of the original prince actually surviving (gasp) and being brought up by the forest witch. The contrast between changeling boy trying his best to look human despite growing more and more trollish vs the actual human prince being almost feral is really cool to me.

The idea is that in the process of making the changeling, the heart of the prince was taken from him, so now all he has his an hole and god knows what in there. It does mean that he can literally feel nothing. He just feels numb and passionless, he doesn't get mad or sad or happy, and he just listen to what his 'mom' tells him to do without ever fighting it. 

The real drama comes from the fact that even just looking at his 'mom' and other 'normal' creatures, he can tell that being numb is not the norm, so he wants to find his heart to feel things, but the witch isn't super set in actually helping him because what's better than a mindless, feelingless boy to do your bidding ?

Or I can just call it 'even more sad blond boys AU'

Yet another challenger enters the arena

Long time no Renaissance folks 'comic', this time we're dipping our feet into some hot hot realisations about Luca, but not too much.

Honestly this whole thing is just a teaser and I'm sorry, one day I'll actually go into detail about what happened.

Those ain't the only mushroom he picks

 I was really feeling the fall mood and it had been a while since I last drew some Stardew content, so I had to remedy it.

When I was a kid I went mushroom picking a few time with my grandparents, now that they're too old to go I miss it.

 This really looks like the breakfast thing I had drawn with my farmer (down to the last panel being him with a hot cup of tea), but I really enjoy doing those. It's really nice to draw scenes but not focus only on full body characters.

 Spotlight for apples ! Honestly I never actually /crave/ them but I LOVE all the things you can do with it (apple pie and apple sauce ? Simple but godlike). I also enjoy drawing food so this was a good excuse lol

and because it had been raining almost non-stop for three days: you can't have fall without the rainy weather, so better enjoy removing your soaked clothes and getting a warm drink if you're gonna call yourself a fall stan.

I took a long time to fill some pages in my sketchbook, so some of these are pretty old, but enjoy some Samira and Miguel (and Lars) content from september.

 A cheeky selfie and some domestic stuff. And yes, Samira is wearing Lars' underwear.

Baby Lars and Sami will never stop being fun to draw. They must be 13-14 there, right in the middle of Sami's scene phase.
